Sunny Days

The last few days have been so sunny and beautiful. Clear blue sky and all the white snow still around. The only problem is that now the snow is melting and making it very icy.

The last week and a half were stressful as my dog was sick. I came home on a friday night after working at the kennel and then also for D's business. My older ESS had a large swelling on her throat and a hard mass inside that. So we headed off to the vet on an emergency call. She was so out of it and was very patient for the hour and a half that the ver spent on her. As she was so placid we were able to a needle biopsy of the mass with her awake and me just holding her. The vet was quite thorough and was honest in that he really did not have an idea what was wrong. so we put her on a course of strong antibiotic and prednisone. After a long weekend of worrying the test results came back, The good news was that it was her lymph node and that it showed the proper things in her body to be fighting an infection. The bad news is that they have no idea why her body is having bacterial infection or what the cause is. The last year and a bit she has had varied reactions and things that all seem to be tied in together. Now she is better but still not feeling well and we have to wait for the next outbreak to try different tests.

D is busy working at his CEA job and with the delivery business. I am trying to decide whether or not to pursue my dog toy business. I may get a web site set up and go from there. I am starting some training with my younger ESS to get ready for a CARO trial in april. I am nervous and excited. he is so much more eager to work than the other.

The may long weekend I am headed to Vancouver for a friends wedding. It is going to be such a good weekend. I am very happy for her and her fiance. they seem very happy together. My mom is headed off to see my sister and her family for a month again. She is really looking forward to that.
