Life keeps ticking along

Well I am on a day off. I got to sleep in and then we took the dogs for a run on the mountain in Canoe. Then downtown for some errands and lunch then off to the vet clinic with Rory and Reagan. Rory to get his physical and shots updated and Reagan for a follow up exam for her earlier illness. Both were very good for our new vet. He is new to the clinic and recently finished school so he is thorough and actually listens to our concerns.
My weekly plan to clean the house and bake cookies has fallen by the wayside again this week. But that is OK. Doug is back oncall for the school district now that spring break is over. And is busy with BBD as they have no employees right now. I am hoping that changes soon as M will start having weekends away with his swim team and Doug cannot run with only him on the weekend. I can help some but am fulltime at the kennel so I am not keen to do much.
we are in the process of buying a new couch. we went and picked one out and then I picked out the colors. We did both like the one in the store and copuld have taken that one but i went with a different combo. It may have been better to go with the instore one as it was lighter colors which may have been better as the house is kinda dark. however, i picked out a nice green for the couch and back of the cushions and then a floral pattern with burgundy, teal, and some other colors for the cushion fronts. It should look quite nice when it gets here in 6-8 weeks. And then I can do a bit of painting as the colors in the sofa have suggested Bengamin Moore matching paint. oh boy.
Otherwise I am busy training with rory for our upcoming rally trial and am very excited that one of the ladies I train with is starting to get into skijoring and I am very keen to get Rory going on the commands so we can try some skiing in the winter with him. Fun fun.
gotta go do some deliveries with Doug and then make dinner. Spinach salad and tuna cakes today.
