Once again it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Fall has come and is almost gone. 6 more days and it will officially be winter. Fall was filled with work for both D and I, he was getting called in on a fairly good basis for a while. Then a long time between calls... three the week he was too sick to go. Doug's family had a reunion on his Dad's side the Thanksgiving weekend. Celebrating 60 years since the Revel's left Northern Ireland and landed in Mara/Enderby. It was great to spend time with everyone, although we had managed to see a number of them at the lake over the summer.
In the pet department, our youngest dog, was diagnosed with epilepsy after a period of seizures spread over a month and a half. It is common in Springer Spaniels but is scary to watch. So he is now on meds for life. luckily his seizures are intermitent and not really harsh. our cat Pounce disapeared Oct 20, right when Rory started seizuring more (stress is a major trigger just like people). I snuggled him in the morning and that was the last we saw of him. I had lost lots of cats growing up in the country and was not overly upset... until we found out from people in the apartment by us that our neighbor had been seen with a trapped cat that same weekend. He of course denies this... so there is nothing we can do. We are not sure if he just killed him or dumped him or what. SPCA cannot do anything since it is legal to trap, but they are supposed to release, return, or take the animals to the SPCA. ... there is more than that man doing this in our area as all the strays are gone and lots of people are missing there pets. One did turn up and was returned to our area from Enderby... so we are hoping that our cat has found someone to take him in.
